For those people that have been having trouble with accessing this site using Internet Explorer, I apologise. It didn’t like my plugin for the absolutely beautiful Flash headings that I had installed, so thanks a-fucking-lot Microsoft.
Anyway, if you’ve been using IE, welcome back. Sure, IE6 sucks, but IE7 has to be better, right? Because its got, like TABBED BROWSING and everyfink! No. IE still sucks arse and if you can, get Firefox.
But, alas, after many attempts to repair the problem and still keep my beloved Flash titles, no can do. Remember what I gave up for you as you read my blog and I hope you appreciate it. Because now the headlines look ugly
Ah well.
Welcome back nonetheless.

Just playing Devil’s Advocate here…
Why is it IE’s fault that the plug-in didn’t work right?
And even though I use Firefox, it still has some major issues involving memory consumption that really ticks me off.

Well, it is IE’s fault if it is not rendering things that all other browsers do. IE is the only browser that is not standards compliant, and as someone who spends the better half of her days hacking things to work in IE, well, its basically a piece of shit. ANd not only that, I have now had to UNHACK a bunch of things to work in IE7. Its a joke.
The plug-in was SiFR, which is Javascript and Flash. Nothing spectacular or difficult… but on this particular matter it is that IE won’t run consecutive JS files in the headers without shitting itself in a spectacular fashion.
I have never had any issues with FF and memory — then again I haven’t really noticed because I have 3g of RAM
I do wish that there were more options with custom fonts in browsers. SiFR is wonderful and as a Flashie I can customise it to look awesome… but I think that there needs to be a broader number of open source fonts that can be embedded and antialiased etc in the browser. Cleartype looks shit — Mac OSX seems to manage antialiasing a whole lot better, but I aint paying $15k for my fonts to look pretty

Oh yes, she’s back
And yeah, IE sucks big time. Even bigger than Real Player.

hehehe I was wandering through another site and found the link for this one… So, really, how do you feel about IE? Don’t hold it in… (I like your style–it made me laugh)

Thanks flirtykitty
I think that IE is a piece of post-lentil turd. I think with IE7 they have tried to polish said turd, and just smeared it all over the place instead. I am actually at a point where I am reluctant to use any CSS hacks etc because if it works in IE6, it wont work in IE7 — and it makes my life as a developer bloody annoying…. because I will now need to create conditional styles and/or separate stylesheets.
My theory is that the only reason IE is shit is because they want it to work with something equally as turdlike: Frontpage. BLEURGH.
Is that honest enough for you

Ohhh yep, IE sucks! I tried downloading the new version and it totally messed up my PC, not sure why, so I had to delete it and go back to the old one, and now my problem is solved. Eh… gotta love the internet and some programs huh?

“Internet explorer. Fucking websites in the ear since 1995.”
February 17th, 2007 at 4:06 pm
Heh.
Well, as a non-nerdy basic IE-user, I like the new look a whole lot better, and thought the other look sucked arse. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess

lol Lea
If I had more time I would just create 5 or 6 templates that you could switch between.
